Before I Leave.....

I held my leg tight to my chest
Wanting the pain to go
You didn't listen to my pleading
Or notice the changes in me
Like you said I am in love with my world
And the real world is far from me
The words came from you
Even though I tried to stop you in vain

I felt like I am inside a hot oven
Burning inside and outside
Helplessly crying
Blisters opened to pores
Moistening flesh to cook well
Slowly I was roasted
I wish to see you before I leave
But my eyes are braised

I will promise
I will not make any voice
I will not bug you in your sleep
I will go silently
I will burn
For your happiness and your life

Reflection

Looking at the cloudy sky

You said it was about to rain

I pointed out the shining star

Did you realise it was all in vain?

In your priorities I was the last

You said it without regret

I pointed out the rainbow

Did you realise it was my asset?

You were wandering in the field

You said you were busy

I pointed out the bees

Did you realise it was witty?

You came into my dreams

You said  you want to be happy

I pointed you towards the door

Did you realise I was snappy?

The moments of our exchange

You said I am beautiful

I pointed you towards my soul mates

Did you realise mirrors can be dreadful?

Wings 2015

Friends Together

Wings 2015. It was the dream of the 90’s batch in S. N. College, Varkala, the mother who gave us shelter until our wings started to grow. When we all flew one by one, like each mother and her children there were falls too. After 25 years, in the re-union there were memories  of love and unity and we danced to the good old moments that we had missed for a while.

When the world is fighting for religions, families fighting for wealth, people use social media and networks to abuse trust, social networks helped us to join together to sow good seeds to those in need. When we say ‘ charity begins at home’ it really is true. When one was down, it was not easy to lift him/her without the bunch. A small voice echoed into the hearts of all, and one by one all came under the umbrella to raise whoever needed a helping hand.

When we proudly say we raised Rs. 2,09,000 to help the bud that needed to flourish, it was not about the money, it was about the love we shared in between to uplift our spirit. We may all drop out at some point, but  like geese and other migratory birds  rotating leadership  and flying in a distinctive v-formation, discovering the necessity of a great deal more effort and energy to fly will give us the advantage of the lifting power that comes from flying together.

Dream Seller

His eyes are promising

Feels like he reads me

The way he holds the roses

My face lights up with his

Floating  on the fantasy

Being the baby in his hands

Pampering and trimming

He tries to increase their worth

Envious eyes follow the beauty

He adds value by his showmanship

The couples pass by

He offers the glittering love

She smiles when she brushes his lips

Holding her in hand  he waits

Love is not ending, or so he hopes

On my way she is on my mind, not him

Food Food

Food, Food
Food to eat
Food to tweet
Food to greet
And I see you in the food corner
You look slim
How are you trim?
Input, output no absorption
I think
Why can’t I stop loving you
You make me fat
Food, Food
Food for fun
Food for son
Food for nun
You make me sick
In the gym I kick
I wish you’d leave me
I hurt
And I blurt
Food , Food
Food for fest
Food for rest
Food for zest
And I’m always in love with you.

Twists and Turns

Friday twisted and turned
And you dropped me in the twist
The club was lively
Dancers acted wildly
Gamblers cracked pennies
Bottles made sizzles
I was on the floor
Alone
You were gone
The world ended in front of me
Blabbers moved around
Wines poured on hands
Friday twisted and turned as usual

A drop of wine spilled on my lips
The sweetness that melted,
The sharpness that moved inside the head
The colours that changed in sequence
The music that wowed in the passion
Everything the same
How could I change?

Friday twisted and turned
And I was twisting
Nothing dropped
I smiled
I am invisible
But I will stay inside you
And will burn you
Because I am in love with you

Friday twisted and turned
You ran your hands through me
In your lips I melted
I will be in your hand until you drop
Friday twisted and turned
Have my love while you last
Oh my Friday I will be your wine and you will be my taster
