The Grass Is Greener Syndrome

I hear people saying things like you are lucky. your partner is good. He or she is nice. So you can do this or do that. It makes me laugh too. Maybe I have said the same things about others too. Thinking about others’ fortune , others’ luck, forgetting about what is lacking or how we can change or improve our own life.

When God will choose partners for each one of us, he is giving the key to a home. How you decorate the home is your choice. The things you choose to go inside is your interest. Instead of how to improve your life we compare our life with those of others. We create a  fantasy about the lives of others and feel sad about our own life. We forget that the mirror only gives a reflection.

Sometimes people say if you were me, you wouldn’t take this much. You don’t know the hardship of life. But we forget that as long as we didn’t tread on another person’s shoe, you don’t know what the other person went through. People are different. You choose things your way. But another person won’t choose your way. It is like colours. Different people like different colours. At the end it is about your view towards your life and your selections.

Only we can make our life beautiful or a mess. It’s according to your thinking and your attitude towards life. When we look at someone else’s fortune we are missing our treasure. Life is based on balance. When we give importance to someone else’s life, our happiness will move away from us.  “ The Grass is always greener on the other side”
