Beyond the Scenes
We sit and watch a movie
that finishes in two hours.
Twists and turns,
fiction or non-fiction,
thrill or sadness,
love or friendship,
comedy or tragedy.
It can make us feel good,
or make us feel bad,
make us cry
or make us laugh.
Every scene has its place,
every story has its ending,
and whatever happens,
the movie finishes
within its given time.
Then we switch off the screen
and return to our own movie.
But somehow,
we forget that the real movie
is our own life.
Our movie is different.
It moves slowly.
Day passes.
Night comes.
Night passes.
Another day begins.
There is no background music
telling us that something important
is about to happen.
No one tells us
when the next twist will come.
Sometimes life suddenly changes—
something beautiful,
something painful,
something we never expected.
For a moment,
everything changes.
But then, slowly,
life finds its rhythm again.
The days continue.
The nights continue.
Life moves forward,
slow and steady.
And perhaps that is
what makes our movie so special.
We don’t know the ending.
We don’t know the next scene.
We are not sitting outside
watching it on a screen.
We are living it.
And when I stop
and think about that,
the slow pace of life
doesn’t make me restless.
It makes me smile.
Because maybe
we don’t need every moment
to be a twist or a thrill.
Maybe the quiet scenes
are the ones we were meant to notice.
The ordinary days.
The little joys.
The unexpected changes.
The people we love.
The life that keeps unfolding—
slowly,
steadily,
beautifully,
