Rainbow

The scrap book flipped

Roughness of love

Flawed and defective

Without editing

Wiped it all out

And I filled it

With colours of the rainbow

When I chose violet

You shook your head

When I drew indigo

You showed a grin

When I picked the blue

You said it looks nice

I tinted you in green

And tied it with a yellow rose

When the orange blasted

I locked red on your lips

In the rainbow’s perfection

The sky seemed vibrant

In the spectrum

I wrote

Not in glitter

Or in syrup

A friend’s name that I can trust!
