Wondering why they rejected first?
Confirmed with panic inside
Folks spread rumours that no-one applied
Chilling feeling - what went wrong?
Work or prepare, go along with the flow?
Fitness helped looking at the bigger suits
Wardrobe laughed at puzzled mind
Time is limited, no time to shop
Worried mind forgot job description
Gossips caused loss of interest in the place
The question echoed, do I really want it?
Looked professional in black dress
Thin tights made uncomfortable moments
Dress with jeans and boots, walked like a clown
Teammates’ guidance to carry my shoes
Boots on legs and shoes in hand
Reached the station an hour early
Time to wander with worried mind
Reflecting like a granny carrying bags
Rushed into shop, bought thick tights and a stylish bag
Ran to washroom, changed appearance
The boots looked classy , so did the bag
Went in looking stylish with smile on face
All that time never concerned about getting the job
Saw the people that I would work with
Realised what I am going to miss with carelessness
Anxious soul didn’t prepare the answers
Blame self for being stupid
Whatever the result it is my fault
Thoughtful mind is a stranger to myself
Time to test the luck or maybe next time?
