Burning Candles

Burning candle spreading the light
Couples enjoyed romance in the twilight
Diners  delighted in the dimness
Love spread fragrance to the moods

The candles made to bring colours
Scents filled in to alter the feelings
They  craved charm for splendour
The eyes were there to admire the beauty

The folks danced in the dusk
Champagne bottles bubbles with blabbers
Music spiced the surrounding
The candles smiled to the visions around

The heat burned the candle oil
It flowed its way to get out
Prettiness reworked into puffiness
The stage is on its way to find new beauties.

Poppy the Hope - A Thought

Information - Google Search

Remembrance of good deeds
Martyrs embraced their death
The poppies are on their way
To bring colours and reassurance to those still fighting

Why the poppies, question raised
Flanders the whole western part of Belgium saw the worst part of First World War
Natural life ended with sea of mud, grave for the dead
The one that survived was the poppy, the hope

Poppies are made to sell
Money raised for the needy veterans and their dependants
November is coming to embrace the eleventh
Poppies are ready to wear for sacrificed lives

Left or right , you choose your way
Some wear left nearer to their hearts
Rules are men wear left where the medals go
Women  should wear right where a widow would wear husband’s medals

Poppies are shining on trooper’s hand
Buy it, wear it, be proud of it
There are people in need
Support for the soldiers who build the world

Heard it’s cosy, a delight to see
On summer day settled there
Instructions flood in, heads in a spin
No more fans to damage the pricey

Cold air cooled, bodies shivered
Woollies put on, scared of being sick
Noise torrent,  air cooler horrendous
Where to knock, any hearts here?

Seasons changed cooler silent
Breath of fresh air wakes the mind
Day by day winter slipped in
Cycles rolled, shattered fantasy

Wish for heaters, saddened thoughts
Sick and tired dreaming of lottery
Abiding moaners, anxiety dwells
Who will open the door to heaven?
