Twilight

When you held my hand
Shimmering eyes glittered in the twilight
Amid the silent vows
The candles softening with flares

Unsaid verses drove us crazy
Slushes tasted in our mouths
In the frames a shiver passed
With the stillness of love

From flames of promise, we drifted apart
In the shower I lost my make up
I was terrified to look in the mirror
Shattered images teased with sunlight

I searched for aid and comfort
I was deserted in my struggle
But now I have started loving the seasons
So I won’t miss the pinnacles of life.
